This course is designed for anyone who would like to teach kids yoga professionally, in the classroom or at home. The only real requirement is a love of yoga and kids. You don't have to be a qualified yoga teacher to take the course, but we do recommend that you practice yoga yourself.

A common question we are asked is if this course if a Yoga Alliance RCYT course. Our training is an online course which will enable you to teach kids yoga professionally. It is not a RCYT 90 hour training qualification. You do not need Yoga Alliance accreditation or an RCYT to teach kids yoga professionally. It is not a legal requirement. If you want to do an RCYT with Yoga Alliance, you will need to do a 95 hour live face-to-face course and a further 30 hours of teaching practice. This is a big investment of time and money. You do not need to do this to teach kids yoga professionally! Michelle (CEO and Founder of Little Yogis) started her Kids Yoga Teaching career with an online certification, no Yoga Alliance credentials and just a love for yoga and kids! Her company is now a large corporation teaching children around the globe. Completing your certification allows you to teach kids yoga using the skills and training you’ve learned, but the Little Yogis Academy® name and logo are reserved for licensed partners. To use our trademark, branding, and brand assets, you must be an active Little Yogis Academy licensee. This ensures brand consistency, quality, and protection for everyone in our community. If you’re interested in teaching under the Little Yogis Academy brand, we’re happy to share licensing options and help you decide if it’s the right fit for you.

To graduate with a full certification from Little Yogis Academy, students are required to send in a video of them teaching a class using one of the Little Yogis class plans. Michelle will then send feedback on the video personally. Once this is complete the teacher will receive a certificate of completion that you can show to employers, schools and insurers to prove that you have taken and passed the training.

These sessions are designed to support you with things like launching your first classes, working with childcares and schools, pricing, confidence-building, and deciding whether licensing or independent teaching is the right path for you. Yes. To teach kids yoga all you need is good training, a police check to ensure a clean record and professional liability insurance. Please note: you do not need Yoga Alliance accreditation to teach kids yoga professionally. This is not a legal requirement anywhere in the world.
